Chase Oliver Campaign Fundraiser: A Delightful Evening in Charlotte

On June 22, 2024, Libertarians and liberty-leaning voters gathered in Charlotte, NC, for a special fundraiser supporting Chase Oliver, the Libertarian Presidential Candidate for 2024. The event, held in a cozy space provided by Community Room Rentals, created the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening.

After spending a vibrant day at the Salisbury Pride Festival engaging with the community, Chase Oliver transitioned seamlessly into the fundraiser, eager to connect with donors and friends of LPMeck. His enthusiasm and vision for the USA and the Libertarian Party were evident as he shared his plans with an attentive audience. Also present were Mike Ross, the Libertarian Gubernatorial Candidate for North Carolina, and his wife Brandy, who mingled with voters and discussed their hopes and plans for the state, highlighting the Libertarian commitment to grassroots involvement.

As the sun set and temperatures cooled, guests were welcomed by the enticing aroma of Jeff Scott’s Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Walnut Orange Zest Cookies. Jeff, who also served as honorary bartender, provided his signature gin and tonic—a refreshing mix featuring Sipsmith London dry gin, Q Tonic, orange and lemon twists, juniper berries, and ice—a perfect antidote to the southern summer heat.

A highlight of the evening was the silent auction, organized by LPMeck EC member Carl Carter. The auction featured a range of enticing items, all selling at or above market value, significantly boosting the Chase Oliver campaign thanks to the attendees’ generosity and spirited bidding.

Despite the lingering heat, the atmosphere inside was cool and comfortable, with ice-cold beverages and light hors d’oeuvres. The mood was elevated by an electro-swing playlist curated by Chase Campaign volunteer and longtime NC Libertarian, Susan Hogarth, setting a festive tone. More than just a fundraiser, it was an opportunity for like-minded individuals to meet, converse, and share their passion for liberty, allowing attendees to engage in meaningful conversations with the candidates.

As the evening ended, guests left with goody bags containing campaign fliers, stickers, a Chase 2024 pen with a stylus, and campaign buttons. These tokens, assembled by dedicated volunteers, ensured everyone had a memento of the evening. Special thanks to all who made the event possible, from the local entrepreneur providing the space to the volunteers ensuring everything ran smoothly. Here’s to more gatherings that inspire and unite us on our journey towards a world set free in our lifetime.
