DESCRIPTION:This is the first gathering after our annual convention\, where we adopted updates to our bylaws and a new Executive Committee. \nSocial hour starts at 10am \nWe’re trying a new format; the chair and whoever else wants to come hang out\, will be there at 10am for a social hour. We’ll do our best to have the agenda for the business meeting posted and printed out so we can have informal discussions on the agenda ahead of the business meeting. So come out and meet our EC and discuss matters of the day\, the upcoming local elections and we can get to know each other over good local coffee.\nThen at 11am\, assuming we have a quorum of the executive committee present\, we will call the business meeting to order and go through the agenda. Everyone is welcome to stay for the business meeting. \nBusiness starts at 11am \nThis is our monthly meeting of the executive committee. As this is our first meeting with our new EC\, the chair will lay out a proposed roadmap. We have 90 days to get local candidates filed to run for office. All local towns will be electing their town/city councils and mayors this fall!

Join us at the Camino Institute (https://camino.org/) in Charlotte as Democratic candidate Michael Morgan\, Republican candidate Dale Folwell\, Green Party candidate Wayne Turner\, and Libertarian candidates Shannon Bray and Mike Ross make the case for their vision for North Carolina’s future. \nThis live event will run for approximately two hours\, followed by 30 minutes to meet and talk with the candidates. Audience members will have an opportunity to submit questions in one of five key policy areas.
