Full Answers Provided by the Candidate:

1. Should zoning laws be more or less restrictive?

I think our zoning laws should be tightened up enough that we are not rubber-stamping subpar development through just because they meet the baseline standards. I would like us to do our due diligence to ensure we are saving our tree canopy and getting the best development we can get for our town.

2. Do you support or oppose the proposed transit sales tax hike?

I am against the tax increase, which is a 13.7% hike. This is a permanent tax, and it doesn’t guarantee that we’ll see the red line in our area anytime soon. While I would love to see the red line extend this way, I’m not convinced that this tax will lead to that outcome. The money will be allocated to pay back Charlotte before any comity sees a dollar.

3. Which areas of the budget would you cut if elected?

Given Huntersville’s rapid growth and the increasing demand for roads, sidewalks, and greenways, making any budget cuts would be a mistake. It would only create a bottleneck in the necessary improvements we need to implement.

4. Should the government step back in areas better handled by the private sector?

(No answer)

5. What is your most Libertarian stance, and why should Libertarians support you?

Personal freedom I believe we should have the right to make choices about our lives, personal, social, and economic. as long as it doesn’t hurt others.
